The Fun Never Stops

What a busy week...

Evan continued practicing his smile - I think he's really making progress.

He's even starting to put some variations on it.

When things are slow, taking a bath is always fun - especially for those who still fit in the sink.

On Friday, Evan turned 2 months old. He celebrated the event by posing with his big sis.

Marina was pretty busy this week too - going to school can be tough, so on Saturday we relaxed.

First, we prepped for the baseball season at the batting cages.

Then we played a little mini golf. Not sure all this is strictly by-the-book, but I don't think that bothered anyone.

Good times! And on Sunday it's Tatiana Day, so we're sure to stay busy.

New Toys!

Umm... by new toys, mostly I mean MY video camera. So this will be a very video-heavy entry. Seems like a good time to advertise the new "subscription" feature up there on the right ---> If you want to get blog entries emailed to you (and you don't get them already) then just click and sign up.

Moving on. What's new here? We had a nice visit with Marina's dad and have now finished with our 2 months of constant visitors. Evan's a little confused - he thinks that we always have people coming around to see what's up. He'll get used to it, and me and Tatiana get to relax a bit. Until her brother comes in 2 weeks...

I've been getting in some time with the young'ns..

Marina has been staying in shape for ski season - after all, her next trip is only a month away.

Here's some video proof that Evan can be awake and NOT crying. (It also shows that I'm not the only one getting new stuff!)

But when he does get fussy, the "bumpy ride" approach always seems to calm him down. It makes me wonder how sick I would get if I were in his spot...

That's about all for now! More Marina pictures next time... but she gets suspicious when I point the video camera at her, whereas Evan doesn't seem to notice.

Учиться, учиться, учиться

Hi everyone

Here at the dacha, we try our best to learn something new every day. This week, Evan has been working on some new faces. He seems to have mastered "blank stare"...

... and he's starting to work on "charming smile"
... but it's a work in progress.

Marina has been taking on more challenging tasks - first she learned to ski, now on to ice skates. She's picked up a new role model - Michael Jordan! At least I think so, based on the tongue.

Learning hasn't been so easy, but we've got help.

And afterwards, we can brag about it over some hot chocolate.

As you might have noticed - we're also trying to learn what facial hair works best. I think we've all figured it out! Except for Tatiana...

Happy new year!
